I set up a bloglines account, and picked some newsfeeds. Not too difficult. Now for the customizing, so this will be something I use on a daily basis. I was disappointed to see the first two items in aboutdogs.info would not display. It looks like the article may be too large for the newsreader to handle. I was very excited to see the Fast Company feed. I've subscribed to this magazine for a year, but my subscription is running out. I can check it out at the library, but it will be handy to have access to the content and commentary from home. It looks like I will have the same problem as many first time visitors to our library: I want it all!
An unrelated technology note: My Sprint cell phone, which has for years reliably changed in accordance with the time zone and daylight savings time, failed to do so today (11/4/07). As a result, I showed up for work an hour early (dang!). I'm using the extra time to do the 23 things, but it makes me think about how easy it is to accept the information we're given and not put it in context. I couldn't understand why no one was at work, or why the doors and security gate were shut. I even looked at my phone, to confirm the time!
